Blue Hour Over Pusch Ridge

About This Piece

Where the mountains become more like a painting.

In Blue Hour Over Pusch Ridge, the granite faces and jagged ridgeline of the Santa Catalinas settle into deep layers of indigo and cobalt as daylight gives way to dusk. The peaks take on every cool tone the sky offers, steel blue, slate, violet shadow, while the last warmth of the day lingers in the stone as a faint reddish-gold on the exposed rock before it fades out entirely.

This is Pusch Ridge at its most meditative. The foreground hills recede in graduated shadow, drawing the eye up and into the composition, and emphasizing the sheer vertical scale and geological complexity that Oro Valley residents see every evening from their windows. Nothing in this image is harsh. Just the quiet drama of a day ending well.

Blue Hour Over Pusch Ridge works beautifully in bedrooms, home offices, and contemporary living spaces where you want presence without intensity. The cool palette pairs naturally with grays, whites, navy, and natural wood. For anyone who has stood outside at dusk in Oro Valley and watched the Catalinas go blue, this image captures that moment.

Print & Production

Blue Hour Over Pusch Ridge is printed on metal. The aluminum surface gives the blues a subtle luminous sheen, so they seem to glow from within, the way the mountain does at dusk. The faint warmth on the rock faces stays visible against the cool tones instead of getting lost.

Each piece is printed directly onto lightweight aluminum with a brilliant, scratch-resistant finish and arrives with a French cleat hanging system, ready to hang.
